Stay at the Judge’s Lodging
There are 21 beautiful guest rooms, some in the old house with fabulous high ceilings and ornate cornices, plus 5 new bijou rooms to the rear. Be aware that the bijou rooms really are called that for a reason. They are small and tucked away behind the main house but they do have an ensuite shower room and contemporary styling. They also have their own front door which opens directly on to a small terrace, so you can step outside and enjoy a drink. Expect complimentary WiFi, tea & coffee making facilities, comfortable beds with plump pillows and complimentary toiletries.
Dine Outside, Inside
With its own restaurant and kitchen garden, you know that you’re going to wake up to a delicious Yorkshire breakfast. Alternatively, why not have their house speciality of eggs Benedict? There’s also a simply stunning glass box – where you almost feel like you’re dining outside. If you’re visiting on a balmy summer’s day, there are two sun terraces where you can enjoy a drink al fresco.
